The SMI's 24th annual plenary conference will take place on 29 August - 1 September 2026 in Belfast as part of a special collaborative conference held jointly with the UK's Royal Musical Association and the European Association for Dance History. It will be hosted by SARC, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Sound and Music, at Queen's University.
